Rally Obedience
Rally obedience has three levels for earning titles - Novice, Advanced and Excellent. All
three levels have both A and B class groupings, depending on prior titles earned by the
dog and, in the case of the Novice class, the handler as well. Titles include
Rally Novice
(RN), Rally Advanced (RA), Rally Excellent (RE)
and Rally Advanced Excellent
(RAE).

All rally courses are made up of a series of stations, each with a sign designating what
exercise the dog and handler team are to perform. The Novice class is performed entirely
on leash, with courses consisting of between 10 and 15 stations. Advanced and Excellent
are performed off leash, Advanced consisting of 12 to 17 stations and incorporating one of
the three standard obedience jumps and Excellent having 15 to 20 stations and two jumps.
The Excellent level also has an Honor station, where the dog and handler just finishing
the course go to a designated spot inside the ring and stay in either a sit or down position
(judge's choice) while the next team navigates the course.

Titles are progressive, with each subsequent title replacing the one earned previously at
the end of the dog's registered name.

Each RN, RA and RE title is earned by obtaining three qualifying scores of 70 minimum
out of a possible 100 points. In order to obtain the RAE title, a dog must earn qualifying
scores from both Advanced B and Excellent B at the same trial a total of 10 times.
